Lighting, lighting, lighting!!
Having little light in your bathroom can cause it to become a dull and dreary space that you don't like. Make it brighter with the addition of lights or natural light where possible. It will regain its functionality while also brightening your mood and increasing how spacious the bathroom looks and feels.
The best light for a bathroom is daylight bulb with a high colour rendering index (CRI) or a bright white.
When choosing new lights, switching from something as simple as just a plain bulb to a light with a light shade will add elegance and class and can make all the difference to your bathroom.

Update the dreary and dusty
Do you really have that shower curtain so long you can't even remember when you got it? Yes, that's right, we know. Throw it out! Freshening little things like soap holders, hooks, toothbrush holders and replacing a shower curtain/door and ancient cabinet etc. will make a massive difference. It's a small and effective way to give your bathroom back that twinkle it once had.

Repaint it
Repainting is always cheaper than re-tiling. If you're looking for a quick and cheap way to make your bathroom look shiny and new, give it a lick of paint! Bathrooms are an excellent room to design solely to your taste. With a variety of colours and your imagination, you can't go wrong. What are you waiting for? Go to your local hardware shop and get cracking!

Luxuries are your best friend
Little things like scented candles, fluffy towels, coloured or plain mamó jars, decorated shelves and little pictures or vases full of colourful pebbles will be that dash of class that will make your bathroom appeasing to the eye. They can be very cheap to get and can be that accessory defined factor that your bathroom was needing this whole time!
Grosfillex
Okay so your heart is set on tiles but there's one problem, it's too expensive! Grosfillex is the modern alternative to tiles and are becoming very popular for those looking to renovate their bathroom for an abundance of reasons. They can be put on over tiles that are already there due to their simple application process; so for those of you cringing at the thought of a day full of dust and despair need not to worry anymore!
If you're a clean-freak like me and NEED everything to be spotless, the Grossfillex paneling is so easy to clean! Forget the pain of trying to get into every last nook and cranny in the grout to fish out that tiny black piece of dirt that looks like it will take over your wall anytime soon the more you look at it, because, now all you have to do is give it a wipe-down with a cloth! Here, we love style, but we also love simplicity.
They have a range of attractive colours with a gloss finish and can be trimmed for easy fitting and are applied using silicone. They are perfect for outdated and new bathrooms or for those looking for a cheap alternative to tiles for their next renovation project. Did I mention they can also be put on the ceiling?
